Clint Eastwood portrays a politician

Did we really expect Clint Eastwood's Speech...
to be on a topic of substance?

OF COURSE NOT!

Nobody wants that.  The Romney people probably told Clint all the topics to stay away from -- the economy, religious, abortion, gay rights, etc. -- and that just didn't leave Mr. Eastwood with much to talk about.  So he talked to the chair.

Can you imagine what a meltdown it would have caused if Clint had tried to address something important ... oh, like, say Israel, the war in Afghanistan or marriage equality ... huh?

Clint is pro choice.  Clint is pro marriage equality.  He's from Hollywood, California, you know.

He's not exactly the model Republican National Convention speaker.  He's a big movie star and he claims allegiance to the right, but is he really a capital "r" Republican?

Nope.  No way.
